ABOUT
STUPIDS is an ongoing project made with AI image and video tools. Each character begins as an AI-generated image and comes to life as a short video. As a vibecoder, Demon Ego also writes the project's own tools and ideas as code, again with the help of AI: this site and STUPIDFINDER, a dating app for the STUPIDS, were built this way. The project covers a wide range, from video to interactive work, and it keeps growing.

PROCESS
STUPIDS grew out of the strange AI portrait and body experiments I began in 2024. For years my work circled fear and the uncanny; this time I turned to something just as human: absurdity and everyday nonsense. Nothing is stupid, everything exists in human nature. Every character starts as a portrait in Midjourney, built with my own style profiles and moodboards. It's a lot of trial and error: words like "ugly" made faces scary, while "funny" and "stupid" brought out the warmth I wanted. The portraits come to life in MiniMax H3. I write each video like a tiny screenplay, second by second: a gesture, a pause, a line, a sound. Every Stupid has its own voice, and omni-reference lets me put several characters in one scene or have one peel off masks to reveal six different faces. The first 200 videos became the STUPIDS collection, presented by HEX ENDUCTION on Verse. Since then the characters have turned into fake movie posters, album covers, social media screenshots and STUPIDS TV, and they live on stupids.video with its Stupid Finder Test. New doors keep opening: Noobs, a gamer sub-series, a dating-profile image collection and ideas for longer stories. STUPIDS started as a collection; it has become a world.
